Ent'42 ถ้า A เป็นจุดบนวงกลม  ซึ่งอยู่ใกล้กับจุดโฟกัส F ของพาราโบลา
 แล้วระยะห่างระหว่างจุด A กับจุด F มีค่าเท่ากับในข้อใดต่อไปนี้

ข้อนี้ต้องทำการจัดรูปสมการที่ให้มาก่อนนะครับ
เริ่มจากสมการวงกลม x^2 + y^2 + 4x - 6y + 11 = 0 ซึ่งมีรูปแบบคือ (x - h)^2 + (y - k)^2 = r^2
(เพื่อความสะดวกขอใช้เครื่องหมาย ^ แทนเครื่องหมายยกกำลังนะครับ) ก็สามารถจัดรูปได้ ดังนี้
x^2 + y^2 + 4x - 6y = -11
x^2 + 4x + 4 + y^2 -6y +9 = 2
(x + 2)^2 + (y - 3)^2 = (√2)^2
ได้ว่าเป็นรูปวงกลมที่มีจุดศูนย์กลางอยู่ที่ (-2,3) และมีรัศมียาว √2 หน่วย
ต่อมาจัดรูปสมการพาราโบลาบ้างนะครับ
รูปแบบของสมการพาราโบลานั้นคือ (x - h)^2 = +/-4c(y - k)
จากสมการ x^2 - 12x + 4y + 52 = 0 สามารถจัดรูปได้ดังนี้
x^2 - 12x + 4y + 52 = 0
x^2 - 12x + 36 = -4y - 16
(x - 6)^2 = -4(y + 4)
ได้ว่าเป็นรูปพาราโบล่าคว่ำ(เครื่องหมายหหน้า 4c เป็นลบ)
ที่มีจุดยอดอยู่ที่ (6 , -4) และระยะจากจุดยอดถึงจุดโฟกัสห่าง 1 หน่วย (ค่า c เป็น 1)
จะได้รูปคร่าวๆดังนี้
ต่อมาก็หาระยะทางจากจุด C ไปยังจุึด F ว่าห่างเท่าไรแล้วนำมาลบออกจากรัศมีของวงกลม
ก็จะได้ระยะห่างระหว่างจุด A กับจุด F ครับ
เมื่อเรารู้จุด 2 จุด (x1 , y1) และ (x2 , y2) แล้วสูตรการหาระยะห่างระหว่างจุด 2 จุดคือ
 (r คือระยะห่างระหว่างจุด 2 จุด)
แทนค่าในสูตรได้ว่า r = √((-2 - 6)^2 + (3 - (-5))^2) = √128 = 8√2
เมื่อลบความยาวรัศมีออกไปจะเท่ากับ
8√2 - √2 = 7√2 หน่วยครับ
